You Are 55% Left Brained, 45% Right Brained |
The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning. Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others. If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic. Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.
The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility. Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way. If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art. Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports. |
Are You Right or Left Brained?As per usual, I've considered writing new posts several times since last week, but I'm overwhelmingly lazy (overwhelming in the sense that it overrides most of my will to do anything other than laze about for the rest of my life) and just went, "Oh well, to hell with that", and well...here we are, a week later. Not that I really had anything to say, anyway.
I was in BestBuy with
Suzy Q on Friday and unwisely mentioned that I didn't have
City of Angels on DVD yet...and so the silly girl bought it for me, damn it. I told her I'd have to get her back for that sometime. You know, by like, buying her a DVD player or something, or something else she wants but doesn't want me to buy for her (but can't think of anything right now; drat). Heh. Thanks, Suz, for my very early Christmas present/very late but extra birthday present. ;)
Personally, I love
City of Angels, and even I wouldn't want to watch it based solely on the DVD's back cover blurb, if I didn't know any better. I mean, come on...one of the first sentences in the paragraph reads, "Two of the brightest stars in the Hollywood constellation spark the biggest romance under the heavens in
City of Angeles {
sic}, 'a lyrical, unabashedly romantic film [that] earns its wings' (David Ansen,
Newsweek)." And later on -- "Will love be their mutual destiny? Will they take the risks that shape that destiny? The choice is theirs to make." I like cheese as much (and possibly more) than the next person, but...seriously? This is just a bit to cheesy even for me. :)
And on the topic of cheesiness, I also finally succeeded in watching
Phantom of the Opera for the second time, and probably not a day too soon because this is likely its last week in theaters, by the looks of things. This movie is sometimes quite good and sometimes so cheesy it's hilarious. Seriously. I was laughing at inappropriate times, then laughing 'cause I was laughing, and then...oh, man. At any rate, I enjoyed myself.
Righty-o, gotta go do my online Astronomy quiz. Tonight's
Academy Awards ceremony should be....
something. I'm not quite sure what to make of this one just yet.

Question - Say something about Colorblind by Counting Crows! That's how I stumbled upon your blog...Answer - Ah, Colorblind. The song that inspired the original title of this blog before I realized that -- shocker of shockers -- none of my content actually pertained to the song (or its lyrics) at all, really, and so the title got changed. Still like the song, though. Is one of the songs I can listen to on repeat for hours, especially if I'm writing or journaling something, thinking those really deep thoughts, or reading a good book. One time I even thought I figured out what it meant (and wrote an entry in my paper journal accordingly), but off the top of my head (or the bottom of it, for that matter), I can't remember what my interpretation of it was. That's another thing that's great -- its lyrics are open to individual interpretations. Also love the piano ... and really, the song's pretty easy to play on the piano, too, since it's basically the same note sequence repeated over and over. I don't know. I just find the song soothing. Say what you want about
Cruel Intentions, but who knows when or if I'd ever have heard the song if I'd never seen the movie? And as it turns out, I loved the movie, too. :)
